Ice Cream Parlor, Waltham, MA
Testimonial
from Nick Pappas, owner of Lizzy's Ice Cream Parlor:
"I
opened Lizzy’s Ice Cream parlor in 1995, and in 2003 added
rooms for ice cream parties and general table service.
The
original space was long (65’) and narrow (15’). Being
concerned that the space would feel uncomfortable, we decided
that lazuring would offer the possibility of creating a space
that felt very open and alive. Robert Logsdon created a space
that feels alive, and spacious. For 10 years, it has been a place
where “everyone in town comes and sits down together”,
as one customer remarked.
When
we planned the addition of seating space for parties and table
service, we wanted a space that would again offer a feeling of
spaciousness. We also wanted playfulness and variety in the walls,
so that people sitting in the room would never be bored. Robert
created a variety of murals that employed lazuring technique.
The space has been wonderfully successful – people want
to have parties there, people want to sit there.
Lazuring
has been an important part of the success of our business."
